How your work gets verified
The two signatures, and what each one means.
A deliverable becomes verified evidence only when two people sign it. Until both are in, it is submitted work, not verified evidence.
The two signatures
- Faculty verification: your professor reviews your deliverable and certifies it. This confirms the learning. If your course is connected to an LMS, certifying also posts your grade to the gradebook.
- Sponsor verification: the organization signs off that the outcome was real and useful. This confirms the work mattered outside the classroom.
When both are on the deliverable, it is fully verified and both signatures are on the record.
Why it works this way
You never verify your own work, and one signature never stands in for the other. A professor grading it does not make it useful to a company, and a company liking it does not make it academically sound. Two independent signatures, for two different things, is exactly what a recruiter can trust.
Tip
Sponsors do not need a Practica account to sign off; they verify through a secure link. If a sponsor says their link expired, that is normal: the links are valid for 14 days. Ask them to request a fresh one.
