Connect your course to your LMS
Single sign-on for students, and automatic grade passback.
Practica connects to your LMS over a standard called LTI 1.3, supported in Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, and D2L. When it is connected, two things get much easier.
- Students launch straight into their project from an assignment, with no second login.
- When you certify a deliverable, the grade posts back to your gradebook automatically.
How to turn it on
The connection is made once, at the account level, by your institution's Practica administrator. You do not set it up per course. Ask your administrator to connect Practica, and then it is available in every course, including yours.
Tip
Not sure who that is? It is whoever holds the administrator role for Practica at your school, often an experiential-learning lead or someone in the LMS team. Point them at the "Connect Practica to your LMS" guide in the administrators collection.
